Live the Life

Live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:1-3

I will be honest, there are days when being gentle and patient do not come easy. Especially, when I am exhausted physically, drained emotionally or hungry! I have found over the years that when I step up my diligence in my quiet time with the Lord, I am armed with a strength and patience that can only come from Him. I just need to order my days better, starting my quiet time first thing in the morning, yet allowing the margins for the unexpected. I need to not let others rule my day, or let the evil one whisper distracting discouragement in my ear, but make certain that God guides every minute. This diligence will allow me to shield distractions and be able to bear with one another in love, keep unity through peace, and live the life God has designed for me no matter where I am or who I am with.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for giving me this time to focus in on you. I pray that those reading will feel a tug towards you in a new way. May all burdens and discouragement be lifted from those who seek you, Lord. May each of us overflow in abundance your love and peace. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
