Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. Revelation 19:11
“You aren’t any good! Stop what you’re doing! Go home!” Maybe you’ve heard comments like this before, or felt rejection or unwanted. This is DL Moody’s story when he was teaching the gospel and had scoffers trying to distract and derail him. Instead of retaliating or retreating, DL Moody kept repeating directly to the scoffers, “God loves you. God loves you. God loves you!”
Perhaps, you need to hear today that God loves you right where you are, no matter what you’ve done, how you are feeling or what you may be thinking. God loves you!
People can be cruel and insensitive. The Bible tells us that evil will only get worse. “But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:13. Yet, no matter how bad the earth’s people become, we can be assured that our Savior will come riding in on His white horse; His war horse with His army behind Him.
Whatever your troubles are whether physical or emotional, one day will all disappear when Jesus returns. Until then, remember how much God loves you. Search for His blessings: His favor and protection. Recognize how He cares for You. Be reading His Word daily and feel His loving arms wrap around you. Be filled with “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, [and He] will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for first coming as a beautiful baby and loving servant who modeled for us how to live our lives. As times get rough, Lord, help us to remember who you are, King of kings and Lord of lords, and that you are coming back again on your white horse! “The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.” Revelation 22:21
