The Generous Love of the Lord

Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? Of course not! If you then, though you are sinful know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!

Matthew 7:9-11

My son often sends me videos of my grandson, since they live so far away. The newest video was of Clark discovering a play house at target. He had so much fun opening the little door going into the house, looking out the windows and exploring a teeny room that was just his size.

My first reaction after viewing this video was; I want to buy him a little playhouse! If we had the money I know we would spoil him for sure. What a pleasure it is to give good gifts to our loved ones!

This is how our Heavenly Father feels about us, His children. He adores us and longs to spoil us. But unlike us, His gifts are always perfect and just what we need.

Go to your Father in prayer, ask Him for what you need. And your Heavenly Father that loves you will give you abundantly more than you could ever imagine.

Prayer: Oh loving Father, thank you for your generous heart, that desires to bless your children. We are humbled and grateful for your overwhelming love for us. Help us turn to You more, and to seek Your help and guidance above all others. Amen.
